 Racoon Bandit are a folk-rock quartet quickly gaining steam in the non-steam era. Started from story-driven acoustic songs, the full band maintains poetic lyrics with a driving rhythm section and gripping guitar flashes.
The Charlottetown, PEI group formed in late '08 in a well-lit porch.
Nominated in 2010 for 3 Music PEI awards, including Best Group, the bandits play often and have shared the stage with great artists such as English Words, Erin Costelo, Jon McKiel, Wax Mannequin, Grass Mountain Hobos, Mardeen, Two Hours Traffic and Said the Whale.
Racoon Bandit has been featured on CBC Radio 1, 2 and 3 on shows like Atlantic Airwaves, Drive, and Deep Roots in recent months following the release of their first album, 'Campcraft'. They have recently played the Dead of Winter Festival in Halifax and showcased on the Music PEI stage at the 2010 ECMA's in Sydney.
