~ Tuesdays ~

The Tuesdays were a memorable six member country outfit from Charlottetown PEI. that defied the labels. They described their sound as alt country traditionalist honky tonk and old time. They took their name from the night of the week a group of mostly rock musicians got together to play some country tunes for a change of pace while sipping a little moonshine on a cold winter night in PEI.

They started out in 2001as a side project for two local rock bands with a couple of additional members thrown in. Over the years it evolved to its final 6 member line up. Some people saw the band as a side project of Eyes for Telescopes since all members of that band were in the group, including vocalist, Belinda Doyle who had become a regular sort of special guest of the band because of her vocal contributions to the 45 Strings album. The band had been happy for the most part playing a few gigs here and there, writing, recording but most of all jamming on Tuesday nights at Buzzy’s sipping on the the good stuff to keep the cold away.

Members of the group at the time of its break up included Pat Deighan, bass & vocals; Dan Currie, guitar, banjo & vocals; John Mullens, medicine man , steel guitar & vocals; Mike MacDougall, drums & vocals; Craig MacPherson, accordion; fiddle & vocals and Steve Balderston, guitar & vocals.

45 Strings

Talk about your diverse album. All members of the group have contributed at least one song to this project. The band has even covered an Eric's Trip.

"A gentle take on country, traditionally configured to set alight the barn dance wedding reception........there is much to enjoy here." Americana UK.
